L’importance d’honorer nos anciens combattants... Les anciens combattants se sont battus pour nos libertés et ont risqué leur vie, que nous nous en rendions compte ou que nous l’apprécions ou non. À l'approche du jour du Souvenir, je tenais à prendre un moment pour exprimer ma sincère gratitude aux braves hommes et femmes de l'Aviation royale du Canada qui ont servi et continuent de servir notre grande nation avec honneur, dévouement et sacrifice. Le jour du Souvenir occupe une place particulière dans nos cœurs, car il offre une occasion poignante de réfléchir aux sacrifices consentis par notre personnel militaire tout au long de l'histoire du Canada. L'Aviation royale du Canada, avec sa riche tradition et son engagement inébranlable, a joué un rôle essentiel dans la sauvegarde de notre liberté et la préservation de notre mode de vie. Il est essentiel de ne jamais oublier le courage et l'abnégation dont ont fait preuve les membres de l'ARC, dont beaucoup ont consenti le sacrifice ultime dans l'exercice de leurs fonctions. Leurs sacrifices nous rappellent constamment le prix de la liberté, et nous devons toujours nous efforcer d'honorer leur mémoire. So I decided to write a message to show my appreciation to your service, to you protecting our country and to respect the many challenges you have encountered across your path. Challenges like having to go away to other countries to help them, missing your family and friends and having deep emotions. Even when feeling sad and stressed sometimes the troops push though and I believe you are feeling proud to be part of our army. I think it's important to take the time to remember and say thank you to soldiers as they are have been serving our country during war time. Fighting to protect our country is definitely a job without rest and that we must respect.
