Objective
To acquire a long range air-to-air missile for the Fighter capability.
Requirements
An advanced long range missile will ensure Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fighter aircraft maintain the ability to employ weapons in contested environments of the future. The aim of this project is to acquire a long range Air-to-Air Missile capability that will be supportable, interoperable and operationally capable for the CF-18 through its Estimated Life Expectancy (ELE), and for the aircraft selected as Canada's Future Fighter to replace the CF-18.
