Land Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Modernization
Project Type
Project New
Objective
This project will dramatically improve the Canadian Army ability to force generate land-based SENSE capability by standardizing and normalizing existing battlefield systems dissemination and control mechanisms and introducing select state-of-the art sensors to the field army where gaps exists.
Requirements
The manoeuvre units of the Army of Tomorrow will require the integration of existing sensors to provide a better usage and sharing of sensor data. The focus of effort will be towards integrating, interfacing and consolidating existing sensor information efficiently, making sensor outputs readily available to commanders and staff throughout the battlefield, providing tools for the effective management and control of all battlefield sensors and enabling access to external sensor products from Joint, Interagency, Multinational and Public sources.
