I'm more then thankful I can have my first Christmas with my son peacefully because all of you. You are doing heros in every Canadians eyes. Happy Holidays! My son is a Clearance Diver and I am lucky enough to have him home this year for Christmas. I know that will not be the case for many families and I wanted to thank you for the personal sacrifices you make throughout the year, and every day. There is not a more honorable profession than protecting and defending others. Take care, be safe and know that you are appreciated!

Hello there! I am a student in Toronto, and I've been sending these cards since I was in kindergarten, and I'm headed to university in the fall. This has become a family tradition and something I hope to continue to do with my future kids. It's important to show our gratitude for each and every one of you. I hope you know you are very much appreciated for all that you do in keeping us safe. There is so much that you sacrifice for the greater good. My grandfather used to be in the Air Force, and my brother plans on joining you this year. He wants to be in the air force too, and I am very proud of him. My name is Aliyah and my zodiac is aquarius. I'm turning 15 in January. Anyway that's enough about me. How are you ? I hope your doing good, if not I hope you feel better soon. What helps me is meditating in the shower (it may sound weird and you might be laughing right now, I would be too, but it works) It must be hard being away from home, I am and it has already been a year since I was home. You're special so keep your head high soldier you got this. What do you like doing during winter? I like making a snow fort house, basically just walking in the snow and making tiny walls then making more rooms and you're done. Smile like you're smiling at a camera ! Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas! My name is James and I am 13. I really hope you are safe and doing well:). Plus you probably look so cool in the uniform! I always wanted to be in the military when I am older. I was trying to get into cadets but they say “It is only for boys.” Like I am not a real boy (I am openly trans). But I don’t care about that any more but I am still trying to get into cadets. I try my best to not believe what other people think about me. It's hard. Never mind that, But how are you doing? I am doing good myself sometimes. I have a little brother who turns 10 in February, my Aunty is trying to get him in gymnastics. You know what I can’t believe?! I am going to see my newborn baby cousin! I think her name is probably Sweetlyn-Rose. My other baby cousin is 1 and his name is Riian (Ree-an). It is going to be Sweetlyn and Riian's first Christmas and I am so happy. Bye!

Thank you. Every day you show the world what it means to be Canadian. You see the world in a way we do not, so we and our children won't have to. You keep the peace at home by being away from it when times need it. You may not hear it every day or very often, but we are grateful and appreciate it. We can't all serve as you have and we sleep better at night knowing a Canadian soldier is out there to make sure we can. For that and so much more, we thank you.
