I am very grateful for the services you provide to my family, my friends, and our country as a whole. Without your bravery and hard work, I would not be able to attend university, dream of a future in law, travel and come home to a safe home, and feel safe going about my day.
In the past couple of years, I have been given a lot of perspective when it comes to world events and how privileged and lucky I am. The fact that I have never even had to worry about my safety during a single moment in my life is all due to the fact that I have people protecting me and my home on a daily basis. Dear Canadian Armed Forces,
As a Canadian Citizen and a relative of those who are/were in the service, I feel a great sense of gratitude for all of you. I feel indebted to you all as you keep peace throughout our nation, making it so that we may walk safely and freely without threats or worries of war. I know many of you leave at some times and I hope you come home safe to your family or loved ones every time you leave. I don’t know who might end up reading this message but I hope someone does, and takes this to heart. I think about you all the time and think about the many sacrifices you must give to protect us, people you don’t even know, yet you still do it. When I feel tired or sick, and don’t wish to leave my home, I try to think about all of you, sacrificing your time so I may use mine for better. Thanks to you I always feel like I can do better, and usually I end up feeling much better and way more determined than I did beforehand. Thank you for all your past service, your current service and your future service. I have been very inspired to join Air Cadets, and I’m currently in love with it. The fact that I am learning information that I might not have known before is very fun. Me and all my friends and fellow cadets hope if you read this you will know that us as the people of Canada are aware of what you do for us.
