Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems UOR
Project Type
Project New
Objective
The CAF presently has a capability gap in its ability to protect against Class 1 UAS threats, restricting freedom of action for operations in the land domain for forces deployed on Op REASSURANCE. The project will provide a Counter Uncrewed Aircraft System (CUAS) capability for detecting, and degrading/defeating non-RF hardened Class 1 UAS using sensors and non-kinetic effectors. The project will also provide an integrated and mobile CUAS to defeat Russian Federation Class 1 UAS threats and ensure freedom of action for operations in the land domain for forces deployed on Op REASSURANCE.
Requirements
The Counter Uncrewed Aircraft System Urgent Operational Requirement will deliver the following requirements within two phases:
Phase 1:
- Dismounted directional System including a Radio Frequency (RF) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) Jammer
- Dismounted omni-directional system including a RF detector, RF Jammer and GNSS jammer
- Fixed Site System including a Command and Control (C2) system, RF detector, and the ability to conduct protocol manipulation
Phase 2:
- Integrated Vehicle Mounted System including a C2 system, Radar, EO/IR camera, RF detector, RF jammer and GNSS jammer.
Funding Range
$100 million to $249 million
