Objective
Deliver an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system providing modern clinical decision-support tools, advanced analytics, and a patient experience commensurate with our provincial and defence partners.
Requirements
The EHRP is an IT-enabled business transformation project whose aim is to optimize healthcare and health management outcomes by ensuring the availability of reliable, secure, globally accessible, and comprehensive health information. The EHRP will include a modernized EHR that can support CAF members’ needs for information (e.g. a patient portal to view lab results, dispensed medications, etc.), transactional supports for CAF members and their healthcare providers (e.g. electronic appointment booking, secure messaging and electronic consultations) and modern care delivery methods (e.g. telehealth). It will also include more advanced decision support systems, to satisfy objectives at both the clinician and the overall healthcare system level.
