Cyber Defence - Decision Analysis and Response

Project Type

Project New

The Cyber Defence – Decision Analysis and Response (CD-DAR) Project will acquire defensive cyber capabilities to improve overall decision support and security of the DND/CAF networks, including the ability to detect, analyze and respond to threats. The integrated solution will provide reliable contextual analysis to support DND/CAF decisions and actions within designated Command Network (Comd-Net); Extensions and Interfaces, and deployable Defence Wide Area Network (DWAN) systems to support the conduct of Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO).

DND/CAF require a cyber defence capability for strategic, operational, and mission-specific cyber domains that provides network discovery, integrated software (SW) cyber defence tools, an authoritative Cyber Data Repository (CDR), a Cyber Common Operating Picture (CyCOP), addressing the human factors and the ability to do cyber forensics remotely. DND/CAF need integrated monitoring of their network architecture and relevant information therein; and complete Situational Awareness (SA), detection, analysis, and formulation of a response to cyber threats in a timely manner across strategic and operational cyber domains.
