Future Fighter Lead-in Training
Project Type
Project Replace
Objective
The aim of this project is the continuous, long-term provision of requisite fighter lead-in training to enable the Canadian Armed Forces fighter force to carry out its Government of Canada-mandated missions. The project will provide a training system capable of preparing operational fighter pilot candidates utilizing an integrated system of suitable training aircraft and ground training systems. This training system will enable the required Canadian Armed Forces fighter force posture and readiness and its continued operational advantage and survivability over potential adversaries.
Requirements
The project should ensure a seamless transition with existing pilot training programs and have an agile and flexible production level to meet the future needs of the Fighter force. Risk will be managed and control of pilot production will be maintained by the RCAF. The training must meet the unique challenges of the Canadian environment, adapt and optimize to meet future requirements, exploit technical advances to maintain relevance, maximize simulation and emulation to create efficiencies and provide value for Canada.
