Objective
aDefenceX project is undertaking an ERP transformation to modernize operational processes, optimize resource allocation, and enhance readiness in a rapidly evolving security environment. By undertaking this transformation, DND can improve decision-making capabilities, streamline logistics, and enhance mission effectiveness, ultimately ensuring the agility and effectiveness required to meet evolving national defence needs while maximizing resource efficiency.
Requirements
The project focuses on setting the guardrails for the ERP Transformation to ensure the departmental business transformational goals are met. It will deliver three (3 key outcomes:
- Business Transformation and Implementation Planning: Encompasses the development of essential artifacts including the Design Guide, Benefits Management Strategy, and Stakeholder Engagement & Readiness Assessments.
- Foundational Technology Platform: Focuses on the validation and use of SAP S/4HANA standard processes feasibility analysis, acceleration options, the development of proof of concepts, and the delivery of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Governance and Procurement: Defines the Statement of Work (SOW), evaluation criteria for Business Transformation and Solution Implementation including the associated governance bodies.
