Objective
This project will deliver new infrastructure to accommodate the CAF Transition Group (CAF TG) organization, including the Transition Center for 3 CDSB Edmonton and CAF TU AB-North in one centralized location.
Requirements
The project is intended to house approximately 74 personnel with an estimated total gross area of 2,013.2 m2, which will include workspaces, reception areas, as well as individual, group and specialized counselling and therapy spaces. This new infrastructure will enable the newly formed CAF TU AB-North and its Transition Centre at Edmonton to effectively administer, sufficiently support, and dutifully assist all transitioning CAF members back to duty or to civilian life.
The Construct Transition Centre project will achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification and be Net Zero Carbon Compliant subject to the recommendations of Life-Cycle-Cost Analysis (LCCA). There is no demolition associated with this project.
