Objective
The HF & LF Radio Capability Programme will upgrade and ensure that the HF and LF radio capabilities that provide essential command control capabilities for the CAF are maintained and renewed on a continual basis through investment (major and minor projects) and repair & overhaul activities.
Requirements
The Programme will conduct major maintenance upgrades and technology refresh of the Ground Entry Stations (GES) of the existing CAF high and low frequency (HF & LF) radio networks including: the Naval Radio Stations (NRS), the Military Aeronautical Communications System (MACS), the NORAD HF communications Systems to Forward Operating Locations (FOLs), the Canadian Air Defence Sector (CADS) Strategic Air Operating Centres (SAOC) Beyond Line-of-Site (BLOS) sites and part of CFIOG's Signals Intelligence Operations system.
