Objective
To update the baseline C130J fleet to Block 8.1 configuration.
Requirements
Upgrade of hardware and software to ensure relevant operational capability is maintained. The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CC130J Super Hercules aircraft has a robust mission set: from oceanic transport to low-level ingress into hostile countries; from moving vehicles to dispatching Special Operations Forces (SOF) paratroopers at high-altitude; from international arms treaty verification flights to national forest fire evacuations; from high-density air traffic to Canada’s sparsely settled north, the CC130J is the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) air mobility workhorse.
